5 Artists I'm Loving Right Now
Carly is the godsister of my friend Emma and while we've never met, I've had the pleasure of meeting her family who lives in NYC while she lives in LA. She is such a talented artist is constantly creating beautiful sketches that evoke so much in such few pen strokes! I'm so impressed by her drawings and she needs to be on your radar.
2. Laura Deems
I've never considered myself a fan of abstract art- it goes above my head! But, I've been so drawn to Laura Deems' paintings. The colors, texture, and shapes are pleasing to the eye and evoke a more calming essence than chaos to me.
3. Josh Young, Josh Young Design House
Josh has two very interesting collections. His "Portrait Art" collection is his modern take on 1700s portraits with a painted slash over the eyes. It's unusual but simple and makes the boring portraits you'd expect to see in a museum into a more lively conversation starter. His "Bibliotheque" collection are works of art painted onto antique book pages.
4. Gray Malin
Owning a Gray Malin is on my bucket list. His exotic and beautiful photographs of his travels are showstoppers! Every landscape is better than your imagination and always exhibits a tranquil quality while still feeling cheerful. I could spend hours looking at his photographs on his website, his Instagram, and reading his blog. He's a must follow for me!
Teil has such a unique and beautiful style. I love the color combinations and the pixilated look that balances realism and abstract. I particularly love the paintings of the little girls with flower crowns and flowing dresses.
Clearly, I like quite a unique mix of art. I'm always looking to discover new artists to follow their work! Let me know of any you'd think I would like!
