Packing for Winter in Paris
Written by Abby
Bonjour! We are headed to Paris and Belgium to ring in the New Year! I cannot wait to peruse the Belgian Christmas markets and to shiver as we walk down the Seine, popping into museums to view our favorite paintings and warm up. I cannot wait to eat boeuf bourguignon and french onion soup and drink Belgian hot chocolate. It's going to be a magical trip. We haven't been to Europe in the winter since we studied abroad, but I've been keeping an eye on the weather and it looks like the temps are hovering in the low 40s, cloudy and some rain. Not perfect sightseeing weather, but I know we will have a good time regardless. Packing for a winter destination is tricky. Sweaters are bulky, big coats are a nuisance, and shoes are bigger which puts suitcase space at a premium. I decided to stick to a capsule wardrobe of sorts, sticking to grays, blacks, ivory, and camel shades to mix and match effectively. Take a look at what I've packed below...
Sweaters and Coats
With pants, I chose to stick to black jeans, black leather leggings, and skinny blue jeans for a cohesive look that will work with all my sweaters.
In sticking with the camel, ivory, black, and gray color scheme, I picked warm weather accessories that will match any outfit and keeping in mind that I will be wearing my camel coat the entire trip.
